Morgan Russell uses a mixture of different colors (primary and secondary) to create shapes into his bright and colorful composition : Synchromy in Orange. The art work is composed of three pairs of complementary colors: blue and orange, purple and yellow, red and green; with the use of white and black as contrast. Synchromism was an american movement founded by Stanton Macdonald-Wright and Morgan Russell who wanted to apply the same scientific laws that the Neo-Impressionists had obeyed. This great work of art, not well defined, is one of Russell beautiful abstract painting with a combinations of color expressing more of an emotion than a specific object.
