"Journey to the Middle Earth" was painted by Mary Capan. I picked this work because it reminded me of the three cathedral paintings in class. Capan used different application of colors to the same basic picture to create three completely different and independent looks. The use of color changed the perspective and gives the appearance of layers of the earth. One looks like a layer of rock before the molten, the other looks like it is in the molten and the last look like a a perspective even farther in. I found the use of colors to be very interesting.
